Tubing the Ottertail
Escape the summer heat. Relax and float the Ottertail.
8:30 am Mass at Sts. Anne & Joachim (Confession available beginning at 8:00)
9:15 am Depart Sts. A&J parking lot for Charlie’s near Detroit Lakes.
Eat out in Detroit Lakes after tubing and before returning to Fargo
Expect to return to Fargo mid-afternoon or early evening.
Have a chill Saturday with other young adults, escaping the heat with tubing, swimming, and great conversation!
Cost is $10, which allows us to ride the approximately two-hour route twice. Modest swimwear (both men and women—consider bringing a tank top/cover-up), shoes (ones you can wear in the river, perhaps), towel; sunscreen; maybe bug spray. Snacks, drinks (not glass but may be alcoholic provided you are following applicable laws), cooler if you’d like (but only if you won’t be devastated if it were to end up at the bottom of the river).
We’ll go out to eat in Detroit Lakes before coming back to Fargo. Return time will be dependent on water speed, whether we ride the river both times or just once, and time at the restaurant.
